Heiler Software AG makes e-procurement also accessible to middle class

Nordzucker AG creates procurement solution with SAP and Heiler Software AG.

Stuttgart, 23. April 2003 – Nordzucker AG gets in e-procurement: with SAP and the catalog system of Heiler Software the medium-sized company implements an electronic procurement solution with an access for 170 employees.

Heiler Software AG, one of the leading suppliers of catalog solutions, makes e-procurement popular also for the middle class now: Nordzucker AG in Braunschweig, big medium-sized processor of sugar beets, realizes its new solution for the electronic procurement on the basis of SAP Enterprise Buyer Professional (EBP). Core forms the Premium Business Catalog (PBC), the electronic catalog system of Heiler Software AG. The approximately 170 users of the company will not only handle the demand for allocated orders for the direct consumption via this system, but also the one for inventory-tracked warehouse items. Their orders of strategic goods of the commodity groups, antifriction bearing, and tools, which present the challenges at the beginning, are directly placed in the Premium Business Catalog, which is completely integrated with the EBP. That's where the further processing of the data is performed as well.

The PBC ensures a smooth integration with the e-procurement solution of SAP AG by the standardized and certified OCI-interface. The suppliers can be linked without difficulties, because the Premium Business Catalog supports BMEcat, the standard for the data transfer of the federal association for materials management, purchase, and logistics (Bundesverband Materialwirtschaft, Einkauf und Logistik e.V) a hundred percent. Moreover it supports the classification standard eCl@ss.

The implementation of the catalog solution has been realized by itelligence AG, a service partner of Heiler Software AG. Additionally itelligence performs the catalog-data management for the integration and maintenance of the data in the PBC.
